Plug in andswitch on the machine.Make sure that the voltage indicated on the machine corresponds tothe local mains voltage.The machine is stuckin the descalingprocedure.Press the on/off button. You can restart the descaling procedure orfollow the instructions in chapter ‘Descaling the machine’, section ‘Ifyou are unable to finish the descaling procedure’.The coffee is not hotenough.Preheat the cups by rinsing them with hot water. Use thin-walledcups.The coffeetemperaturedecreases over time.Descale the machine (see 'Descaling').No hot water or steamcomes out of the hotwater/steam wand.Check if the hole of the hot water/steam wand is clogged. If so, cleanthe hole.The classic milk frother may be dirty. Clean the classic milk frother.The espresso does nothave enough crema.Use a different type of coffee beans or adjust the ceramic coffeegrinder (see 'Adjusting the grinding degree').The machine does notheat up fast enoughand little coffee comesout.Descale the machine (see 'Descaling').The brew groupcannot be removed.Remove the coffee grounds container before you open themaintenance door. If you still cannot remove the brew group followthe next steps. Reinsert the coffee grounds container, close themaintenance door, switch on the machine. The machine prepares foruse. Switch off the machine and try to remove the brew group again.The brew groupcannot beplaced back.Make sure that the lever is in contact with the base of the brewgroup. Also make sure that the hook of the brew group is in thecorrectposition (see 'Cleaning the brew group').29English
