64 65ADDING AND DELETING REMOTE DEVICESThe lower portion of the window shows all devices currently connected to your NVR. If all ofyour channels are occupied, you will need to delete one of the connected devices from thislist by selecting the check box next to it and clicking delete. Items with a gray “X” are directlyconnected to your NVR and may only be removed by physically disconnecting them from yoursystem.Clicking on the IP Search button will create a list of all remote devices that the NVR was ableto detect. You may limit this search to only IP cameras by selecting IPC in the Filter pull-down. Items being accessed by your NVR over the Internet will not appear in the list at the topof the window. They must be added manually (see below).If you have an available channel, you may add a device by selecting the check box nextto it and then clicking Add. Please note that the NVR will connect automatically only withdevices from compatible manufacturers (see Section 2.4 IP Cameras or Section A.2Specifications for a list of compatible manufacturers) using their default user names andpasswords. If these have been changed, you will need to use the Manual Add feature instead.Manual AddIf you have changed the default settings of any remote device which you wish to use withyour NVR, you will need to use the Manual Add button at the bottom of the window toadd this device to the list of connected devices. This applies to cameras and DVRs whichwere previously connected but later removed from the list of connected items.
