2 – Using QuickToolsQuickTools User Interface59235-02 A 2-5L2.3.2Fabric TreeThe QuickTools web applet allows you to manage the switches in one fabric. Thefabric tree, shown in Figure 2-3, provides access to each switch faceplate displayin the fabric. Click a switch name or icon to display that switch faceplate in thegraphic window. The window width of the fabric tree can be adjusted by clickingand dragging the moveable window border.The fabric tree entry has a small icon next to it that uses color to indicateoperational status. A green icon indicates normal operation. A yellow icon indicates that a switch is operational, but may require attentionto maintain maximum performance. A red icon indicates a potential failure or non-operational state as when theswitch is offline. A blue icon indicates that a switch is unknown, unreachable, orunmanageable.If the status of the fabric is not normal, the fabric icon in the fabric tree will indicatethe reason for the abnormal status. The same message is provided when you restthe mouse on the fabric icon in the fabric tree.2.3.3Graphic WindowThe graphic window shows the switch faceplate (shown in Figure 2-3) orbackplate display. The window height can be adjusted by clicking and draggingthe window border that it shares with the data window.The faceplate display shows the front of a switch. To view the faceplate display,open the View menu, and select View Faceplate. The backplate display showsthe back of the switch. To view the backplate display, open the View menu, andselect View Backplate.2.3.4Data Windows and TabsThe data window, shown in Figure 2-3, presents a table of data and statisticsassociated with the selected tab for the switch displayed in the graphic window.Use the scroll bar to browse through the data. The window length can be adjustedby clicking and dragging the border that it shares with the graphic window. Adjustthe column width by moving the pointer over the column heading border shared bytwo columns until a right/left arrow graphic is displayed. Click and drag the arrowto the desired width. The data windows and tabs are described below.
