Attempting to access these properties from anothersoftware program will generate an error message box that refers youto the Device Manager.See Exploring Device Manager screen on page 34 for help innavigating through the Device Manager screens.Data Rate MultiplierThe Freedom USB uses an accelerated UART clock frequency to boostdata rates to as high as 460,800 bits per second. This settingdetermines the amount of data rate acceleration applied.Notes: We recommend leavingthe Data Rate Multiplier inAuto mode unless theapplication specifically requiresotherwise.Auto (default)Select this radio button to allow the USB serial port device drivers toautomatically adjust the clock as necessary. The software applicationcan request any desired baud rate up to 460,800 bits per second.Note: This setting is suitablefor most applications.Force X1 modeSelect this radio button to limit each serial port to a maximum of115,200 bits per second. The software application can request anydesired baud rate up to 115,200 bits per second.Note: This setting will notenhance most applications.Force X2 modeSelect this radio button to allow each serial port to run at a maximumof 230,400 bits per second. The software application can request anydesired baud rate up to 115,200 bits per second. The actual baud ratewill be two (2) times higher than requested.Note: This setting allowsapplications not capable ofasking for higher baud rates toachieve them.Force X4 modeSelect this radio button to allow each serial port to run at a maximumof 460,800 bits per second. The software application can request anydesired baud rate up to 115,200 bits per second. The actual baud ratewill be four (4) times higher than requested.Note: This setting allowsapplications not capable ofasking for higher baud rates toachieve them.Connector Signal Selection (DSU/QSU/ESU/HSU-200/300 only)This setting determines which signals are routed to the AuxIn andAuxOut pins of the serial port connectors.
