Items in the Connections menu are: Signal Strength, Channel Search,Software Upgrade, Signal Source, Video Input Setup, Auto Tuning, SpecialFeatures, and Ethernet Setup.Signal StrengthThis screen lists any channel EVER added to the TV. The list shows the channelnumber, the station name (only when tuned and available, e.g. NBC), whetherthe channel is digital or analog, which tuner is picking up the channel, andcurrent signal strength of digital channels.When you move the highlight to the Signal Strength list, the TV attempts to tuneto that channel. You can then adjust your off-air antenna for maximum signalstrength (largest number) for the selected channel. The signal strength for adigital channel will be shown as “- -” until the signal is strong enough for use,then numbers will appear. Analog channels will always have the display,“N/A”, since analog signal strength is not measured.Only primary channels appear in the list. Digital subchannels, e.g. 8-1, 8-2, donot appear.Note: If you have both Antenna and Cable channels, press theANT•CAB button to view your Cable channels, or vice-versa.Channel SearchEngaging in a channel search tells the TV to search for all the TV channelsavailable through the Antenna and Cable Inputs. When the TV finds an activechannel, it places it in the channel list. Inactive channels (weak stations orchannels with no signal at all) aren’t placed in the channel list.To do a complete channel search, check each box that pertains to your TV. Forexample, if you’re only receiving cable from the CABLE INPUT, highlight CableInput and press OK to place a checkmark in the box. Select Start to begin thesearch.Notes: Channel Search with all options selected takes some time tocomplete because all possible analog and digital channels are beingsearched.If a cable box or CableCARD is connected to your TV’s CABLE INPUT,Channel Search won’t work for it.Center Speaker In4DVI Audio Input3Digital Audio Out2Fixed/Variable Out1Go Back0Main Menu AudioPress or to point to an option, then press OK toselect it.
