The Headphone sound optionallows you to choose Stereo, Mono or Auto. These descriptions aresame as for Sound Type (see above).Advanced settingsSecond Audio Program (SAP) Plays the program’s audio in asecond language, if one is available. The letters SAP appear in thechannel banner when you tune to a program that is broadcast withSAP information. SAP audio is broadcast in mono. SAP is also usedto broadcast a program’s audio with descriptions of the video forthe visually impaired.Audio Output Lets you choose a setting for the AUDIOOUTPUT jacks.• Variable Provides variable output from the MONITORAUDIO OUTPUT jacks. Use this setting if the TV is notconnected to an audio receiver or amplifier and the volumeis controlled by the TV.• Fixed Provides fixed output from the MONITOR AUDIOOUTPUT jacks to a receiver or amplifier. With the FixedOutput, the TV’s volume control, graphic equalizer, andmute are disabled. This output is ideal when connectingto an audio receiver or amplifier that has its own remotecontrol for controlling the volume.VGA sound source Allows you to listen to the TV's audio whilein PC mode. Also known as MultiTask Audio. Go to page 25 formore information.Dig. Ch. Aud. Preset Choose the language you prefer for dialogon digital channels. If your preferred language is being broadcastwith a program, then the TV plays it. If not, then the TV playsthe default audio for the program (usually English in the U.S.).The default digital channel audio language options are English,Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean.Dig. Ch. Aud. Lang. Press the right arrow to choose from theaudio languages available for the program you're watching. Thelanguage you choose becomes your preferred audio language forall channels on the digital tuner until you turn the TV off. If thelanguage you choose here is not being broadcast with a program,then the TV plays the default audio for the program (usuallyEnglish in the U.S.).Picture MenuThe Picture menu contains menus and controls to configure how thepicture looks. The Picture menu options apply to the video for themain TV and video input selections. All picture options can be appliedto each input- VID or SVID, CMP1 or CMP2, VGA, HDMI, Analog andDigital.
