Chapter 4ConfigurationThis chapter describes configuration procedures, which are performedafter the physical installation of the local and remote WinLink1000units and the Installation Link wizard has been performed. A secondwizard is used to redefine the configuration parameters if necessary.Both sites in the link are defined simultaneously.The following parameters are configured via the configuration wizard:• System parameters• Frequency channel• Air interface rate• Service parametersThe following parameters are configured via the Configuration dialogbox.• Transmit power• Management and trap addresses• Bridge mode• Ethernet mode• Community values• External Alrams4.1 Configuring the System ParametersAfter installing the link, the system configuration can be modified.Note All parameter changes are automatically applied to both sides of thelink.Æ To change general parameters:1.
