16Main Oven shelvesthe shelf guard should be at the back pointing upwardsAs well as the fl at shelves some models aresupplied with a drop shelf. The drop shelfincreases the possibilities for oven shelf spacing.The oven shelves can be easily removed andrefi tted.Pull the shelf forwarduntil the back of the shelfis stopped by the shelfstop bumps in the ovensides.Lift up the front of theshelf so the back of theshelf will pass under theshelf stop and then pullthe shelf forward.To refi t the shelf, line up the shelf with a groovein the oven side and push the shelf back untilthe ends hit the shelf stop. Lift up the front so theshelf ends clear the shelf stops, and then lowerthe front so that the shelf is level and push it fullyback.SteamDuring cooking, food naturally produces steam,particularly when cooking foods with high watercontent (e.g. oven chips). There may be somesteam visible at the grille at the rear of thehotplate. This is perfectly normal.As this steam can condense to water dropletson the cool outer trim of the oven, it may benecessary during cooking to wipe away anymoisture with a soft cloth. This will also help toprevent soiling and discolouration of the ovenexterior by cooking vapours.Oven lightPress the appropriate button to turn on the Mainoven light.If the oven light fails, turn off the powersupply before you change the bulb.
