Therefore it is a good idea to charge the batteryprior to use.2 Turn power OFF beforecharging. Tightensecurely.1 Loosen the collar clamp andslide it upward. With a clock-wisetwisting motion, push and “thread”the steering tube onto the fork untilit bottoms out on the fork headsetlock nut.Note: Make sure any cables/wires are out of the way beforeinserting the stem into the fork.WaRNINg: Failureto recharge the battery at leastonce a month may result ina battery that will no longeraccept a charge.WaRNINg: Alwaysdisconnect your scooter fromthe charger before cleaning withliquid.Note: If your charger does notlook like the one illustrated,your unit has been suppliedwith an alternative charger.The specifications and chargingprocedure would not change.The charger has a small windowwith one LED to indicate thecharge status. This is normal for somechargers and is no cause forconcern. When correctly engaged, thehandlebar will not rotate nor willit move sideways. Note that whenproperly engaged, the spring-loadedbutton is clearly visible in the holeon the T-tube.2 Make certain the spring-loadedbutton engages the hole and isproperly locked into the T-bar.1 Insert and secure the collaps-ible handlebar by pressing thespring-loaded button andinserting it into the T-bar.1 Plug the charger into a walloutlet. If the lights on chargerdo not light up, check the powerto the outlet. If necessary, try adifferent outlet.• Initial charge time: 12 hours• Recharge time: up to 12 hours,even if the light turns green.• Fully charge battery before storing.• When the scooter is not in regular use,recharge the battery at least once amonth until normal use is resumed.• Make sure power is turned OFF whenunit is not in use.• Run time: Up to 40 minutes of continuous ride time.Run time may vary depending on riding conditions,climate and/or proper maintenance.• Constant stopping and starting may shorten ride time.• Average battery life for a poperly maintained unit isapprox. 250 charge/discharge cycles.• To ensure long battery life, never store the product infreezing or below freezing temperatures! Freezing willpermanently damage the battery. Failure to rechargethe battery at least once a month may result in abattery that will no longer accept a charge.• Continue charging for the full 12 hours evenif charge light indicates charging complete.
