Getting Started Page 2-1Section 2 Getting StartedThis section introduces the customer to the Model 2010D andpresents a few guidelines for getting started using the unit.Unpacking and Power ApplicationRemove the Model 2010D from its shipping container and check theunit for damage. Contact the shipping company immediately if theunit sustained damage in transit. Check the packing list toverify that all items were received. Retain the originalshipping container for warranty returns.Temporarily place the unit on a table or counter top in a convenientspot for easy access to the front control panel. Locate the powercable and connect it to the rear panel power receptacle. Plug theother end of the power cable into a suitable AC power outlet.Start-UpOn most Models of the 2010D, the power switch is located on thelower right hand corner of the rear panel next to the power cordinlet connector. Some units may have a power switch located onthe lower right hand corner of the front panel. Depress therocker switch to energize the unit.The display should illuminate in a few seconds and initializationmessages should appear on the display. In approximately one minutethe main menu screen should be displayed.When under power, the Model 2010D pneumatics and electronicswill begin their warming sequence.Standby Operation Upon Power UpUpon application of power to the Model 2010D, the unit defaultsto Standby Mode. In this mode, the Model 2010D is ready toreceive user commands from the front panel or external keyboard,execute preprogrammed calibration sequences, accept commands fromthe RS232 serial communications ports or invoke sequences basedon status information received from the status input/outputports.
