Problem Cause SolutionThe machine is in DEMOmode.You pressed the standbybutton for more than 8seconds.Switch the machine off and then onagain with the main switch on the backof the machine.The 'coffee groundscontainer full' iconremains displayed.You emptied the coffeegrounds container while themachine was switched off.Always empty the coffee groundscontainer while the machine is switchedon. If you empty the coffee groundscontainer when the machine is switchedoff, the coffee cycle counter is not reset.You placed back the coffeegrounds container too fast.Do not place back the coffee groundscontainer until the screen prompts youto put it back.The 'coffee groundscontainer full' icon isdisplayed even thoughthe container is not full.The machine did not reset thecounter the last time youemptied the coffee groundscontainer.Always wait approx. 5 seconds whenyou place back the coffee groundscontainer. In this way the coffeegrounds counter will be reset to zero.Always empty the coffee groundscontainer while the machine is switchedon. If you empty the coffee groundscontainer when the machine is switchedoff, the coffee grounds counter will notbe reset.I cannot remove thebrew group.The brew group is not in thecorrect position.Reset the machine in the following way:place back the drip tray and the coffeegrounds container. Then close theservice door and switch the machine offand back on again. Try again to removethe brew group.You have not removed thecoffee grounds container.Remove the coffee grounds containerbefore you remove the brew group.I cannot insert the brewgroup.The brew group is not in thecorrect position.Reset the machine in the following way:place back the drip tray and the coffeegrounds container. Leave the brewgroup out. Close the service door andswitch the machine on and off. Then putthe brew group in the correct positionand reinsert it into in the machine (see'Reinserting the brew group').The coffee is watery. The brew group is dirty orneeds to be lubricated.Clean and lubricate the brew group.The grinder is set to a toocoarse setting.Set the grinder to a finer (lower) setting.The coffee settings have beenadjusted.Select your coffee drink and adjust thesettings to a stronger coffee.20 English
