Ifa printer system error occurs, contactyour service representative.• The printer coveris not closed.• Close the printer cover.• Paper is jammed. • Clear the paper jam. See 7.4.• No paper isloaded.• Load paper. See 2.4.• The tonercartridge is notinstalled.• Install the toner cartridge. See 2.2.The printer may bein manual feedmode and out ofpaper.Check the message on theSmartPanel program window or thecontrol panel display (CLP-600Nonly), add paper to the Multi-purposeTray, and press the On Line/Continue button on the printer’scontrol panel.The connection cablebetween thecomputer and theprinter is notconnected properly.Disconnect the printer cable andreconnect it.The connection cablebetween thecomputer and theprinter is defective.If possible, attach the cable toanother computer that is workingproperly and try to print a document.You can also try using a differentprinter cable.The port setting isincorrect.Check the Windows printer setting tomake sure that the print job is sent tothe correct port.
