11.14 < Troubleshooting>I encounter error“Cannot open portdevice file” whenprinting a document.Please avoid changing the print jobparameters (via LPR GUI, for example)while a print job is in progress. Knownversions of CUPS server break the print jobwhenever print options are changed andthen try to restart the job from thebeginning. Since Unified Linux Driver locksport while printing, the abrupt termination ofthe driver keeps the port locked andtherefore unavailable for subsequent printjobs.
