DCS Compact II General Description Chapter 4. Features4-3l ForcedWhen a station is programmed for forced authorization the user mustalways enter this code before dialing is allowed. The dialed authorizationcode is verified from a system list of 100 entries.l VoluntaryAny station user can always enter an authorization code before they begindialing. The dialed authorization code is verified from a system list of 100entries.Auto AttendantThe integrated digital automated attendant option provides six ports per AA cardand four ports at MISC 2 card for simultaneous answering and call processing.Sixteen professionally recorded prompts inform callers of the progress of theircalls. Some examples are: "I am sorry. There is no answer", "That station is busy"and "Invalid number. Please try again". Two minutes of battery–backed randomaccess memory (RAM) provide up to 48 customer recordings forannouncements or greetings. Twelve individual greeting boxes, each with itsown dialing options, allow you to build call routing branches as needed. Callersare routed through the branches by dialing extension numbers or single digits.NOTERequires optional hardware and/or software. Ask your dealer for details.Automatic HoldWhile a keyset user is engaged in an outside (C.O.) call, pressing another trunkkey, route key or CALL button automatically places the call on hold when thisfeature is enabled. Pressing TRSF, CONFERENCE, PAGE or a DSS key alwaysautomatically places a C.O. call on hold. Intercom calls can be automaticallyheld only by pressing TRSF or CONFERENCE. Each keyset user can enable ordisable Automatic Hold.Background MusicKeyset users may choose to hear music through their keyset speakers whenoptional external or internal sources are installed. Each user may adjust thislevel by the use of a volume control program at the selected keyset.
