Single line telephones musthave the system administrator program this feature for them.Call PickupWith directed call pickup, a user can answer calls ringing at any station bydialing a code plus that extension number. The group pickup feature allows theuser to answer any call ringing within a pickup group. Pickup keys may becustomized with extenders to allow pickup from a specific station or pickupgroup. The DCS Compact-II has 20 programmable pickup groups.Dial By NameEach system and personal speed dial number can have an associated directoryname. A speed dial number can be selected by scrolling alphabetically throughthe directory name list. This on–line “directory” allows the user to look up anddial numbers in seconds.Direct Station Selection (DSS)Programmable keys can be assigned as DSS keys and associated with extensionnumbers. Users press these keys to call or transfer calls to the assigned stations.Do Not Disturb (Programmable)The Do Not Disturb (DND) feature is used to stop all calls to a station. Systemprogramming can allow or deny use of the DND feature for each station. Partiescalling a station in DND will receive reorder tone. A keyset without a DND buttoncan activate DND via the feature access code. The ANS/RLS key will flash at 112ipm (rapidly) when DND is set. There is a programmable option to allow a C.O.line to override DND at its ring destination if that destination is a single station.Door Lock ReleaseStations programmed to receive calls from a door phone can dial a code toactivate a contact closure for control of a customer–provided electronic door lock.Exclusive Hold
