26Using the camera buttons to adjust the cameraThe RECORDING(AUTO, APERTURE PRIORITY, SHUTTER PRIORITY, MANUAL,VOICE RECORDING, MOVIE CLIP, NIGHT SCENE) mode function can be set up by usingthe camera buttons.Used for turning the camera’s power on / off.Slide the power switch to turn the power on.If this camera isn’t operated during the specifiedtime(about 60 SEC.), the camera power will be idle(LCDmonitor : OFF, Mode dial lamp : ON ) automatically. Touse the camera again, press any of the camera buttonsexcept the power switch. If there is no operation during thespecified time after the idle mode, the camera power will be turned off automatically to savebattery life. Slide the power switch and hold it for 3 seconds to turn the power on without the‘start’ sound.POWER switchUsed for taking an image or recording voice in theRECORDING mode.In MOVIE CLIP mode : Pressing the shutter button downfully starts the process for recording a movie clip. Press theshutter button once and the movie clip is recorded for as longas the available recording time in the memory allows. If youwish to stop recording, press the shutter button again.In STILL IMAGE modePressing the shutter button down halfway activates the auto focus and checks the conditionof the flash. Pressing the shutter button down fully takes the image and stores the relevantdata regarding the shot. If you select voice memo recording, the recording will start after thecamera has finished storing the image data.SHUTTER buttonIf the menu is not displayed, this button works as theOPTICAL ZOOM or DIGITAL ZOOM button.ZOOM W/ T button
