Settings 116Synchronizing AccountsAuto-sync synchronizes your accounts on the device withyour other accounts such as Books, Calendar, Contacts, andmore.1. From the main Home screen, touch Settings➔ Accounts and sync.2. Touch the OFF / ON icon to turn off Auto-sync.Auto-synch controls whether changes made toinformation on your device or on the web areautomatically synchronized with each other.Data and SynchronizationTo manually synchronize information:1. From the main Home screen, touch Settings➔ Accounts and sync.2. Touch an account to synchronize, then touch Sync nowwhich synchronizes all the data selected for thisaccount.– or –Touch the account data to synchronize, such as,Calendar, Contacts, Gmail, and more.Location ServicesYou value your privacy, so by default, your device onlyacquires location information when you allow it. To useLocation-Based Services, first enable location services onyour device.1. From the main Home screen, touch Settings➔ Location services.2. Touch any of the following options to place acheckmark and activate the service:• Use wireless networks: Enables location information usingthe wireless network.Important!
