Messaging 90Message ThreadsSent and received text and picture messages are groupedinto message threads. Threaded messages allow you to seeall the messages exchanged (similar to a chat program) anddisplays a contact on the screen. Message threads are listedin the order in which they were received, with the latestmessage displayed at the top.To open a threaded message follow these steps:1. From a Home screen, touch Apps ➔Messaging.Touch the message thread to view.2. Touch and hold the message thread to display thefollowing options:• View Contacts: displays the contact’s information. This optiononly displays if the sender is in the Contacts list.• Add to Contacts: allows you to add the sender to yourContacts list. This option only displays if the sender is notalready in your Contacts list.• Delete thread: displays a confirmation dialog box that whenpressed, deletes the entire thread.Deleting MessagesTo delete a single message, or all of your messages,following these steps:1. From a Home screen, touch Apps ➔Messaging.2. Touch the message to delete, then tap .3. Touch beside the desired message (a checkmarkdisplays to indicate selection), then touch Delete.4. Touch OK at the Delete prompt or Cancel to cancel.Message SearchYou can search through your messages by using theMessage Search feature.1. From a Home screen, touch Apps ➔Messaging.2. Touch .3. Use the on-screen keypad to enter a word or phrase tosearch for, then touch .4. All messages that contain the search string youentered display.
