18 S PenKnow Your DeviceAction MemoAn Action memo is a note that is linked to actions.To open an Action memo:► Launch the Air command menu and selectAction memo.– or –Press and hold the S Pen button and double-tapthe screen with the pen.Note: Action memos are saved in the S Note app.See Action Memos for more information.Smart SelectThe Smart select feature provides a capture tool toselect content on a screen. You can then add it toyour Scrapbook app or share it with your contacts.To launch the Smart select tool:► Launch the Air command menu and selectSmart select.To capture an item on the screen:► Simply draw around the item. The captured itemappears on the screen and can be saved to theScrapbook or shared. The following options areavailable:• Tap the Collect icon to collect the content.It will appear in minimized form on the screenuntil you save or delete the capture.• Tap the Scrapbook icon to save thecontent in the Scrapbook. See Scrapbook formore information.• Tap the Share via icon to share thecaptured content with your contacts.When you tap the Collect icon, the capturedcontent is stored on top of the Home screen as athumbnail. The following options are available:• Tap the Collect more icon to take anotherSmart Select capture.• If more than one capture has been taken, tapthe Expand arrow to view all of the capturethumbnails.• Tap a thumbnail to view the capture and see theoptions available. You can save the capturedcontent to the Scrapbook, share the capture, ordelete it.• To delete captured content, tap the thumbnailto view it. Touch and hold the capture to bedeleted, select all items to delete, and then tap theDelete icon.Image ClipOutline and crop images from the screen, in anyshape, to share or paste. You can edit the croppedcontent, or personalize it with your own handwriting.To use Image clip:1. Launch the Air command menu and selectImage clip.2. Use the S Pen to draw around the content youwant to capture.The selected clip is centered on the screen. Torefine your selection, use the Transform buttons.You can choose your hand drawn shape, regularshapes, or a magnetic auto shape.3. Once you decide on a shape, select one of thefollowing options:• Tap the Scrapbook icon to save thecontent in the Scrapbook. See Scrapbook formore information.• Tap the Share via icon to share thecaptured content with your contacts.
