74 Users ManualUsing External Display DevicesUsing external display devices such as a monitor, projector, TV, etc allows you to viewscreen images alternatively or simultaneously on each device. You can also split ascreen into two display devices, or view different images on each display device. Usingexternal display devices is especially useful when you are giving a presentation orwatching a movie through your TV.Switching Display Devices Using the Shortcut KeyYou can watch the screen through either the LCD or an external display device, or youcan even watch the screen through both the LCD and an external display devicesimultaneously.1. Connect the external display device (e.g. a monitor or a projector) to thecorresponding port of the system.To connect a TV, connect the TV to the TVoutput port of the system.2. Press the key. Provided that an external display device isconnected, the display option changes in LCD > CRT > LCD+CRT orderwhenever the key is pressed.Provided that multiple external display devices are connected, the displayorder would be LCD > CRT > LCD+CRT > TV > LCD+TV > CRT+TV wheneverthe key is pressed. You cannot view the screen via theLCD, CRT, and TV simultaneously.In the full screen DOS mode of Windows, + keys donot work.If you configure display device to display on both LCD and CRT, and start thesystem with a language using 2-byte characters, some vertical noises mayappear on the screen.
