Extreme temperatures can reduce thecharging capacity of your batteries. When you use the camera for an extended period, the area around thebattery chamber may become warm. This does not affect the normal useof the camera. Do not pull the power supply cord to disconnect the plug from thepower outlet, as this may cause a fire or electric shock. In temperatures below 0 °C/32 °F, battery capacity and battery life maydecrease. Battery capacity may decrease in low temperatures, but will return tonormal in milder temperatures. Remove the batteries from your camera when storing it for an extendedperiod. Installed batteries may leak or corrode over time and causeserious damage to your camera. Storing the camera for extendedperiods with the battery installed causes the battery to discharge. Youmay not be able to recharge a fully discharged battery. When you do not use the camera for an extended period (3 months ormore), check the battery and recharge it regularly. If you let the batterydischarge continually, its capacity and life may decrease, which can leadto a malfunction, fire, or explosion.
