The more bars you see, the morepower you have left.External LCDYour phone has an external LCD display on the cover.When the phone is closed, it indicates that you havean incoming call or message and notifies you at thespecified time when you have set an alarm by itsbacklight or particular icons on it.When you press one of the volume keys on the leftside of the phone with the phone closed, thebacklight of the external display illuminates.BacklightThe display and keypad are illuminated by abacklight. When you press any key, the backlightilluminates. It turns off if no key is pressed within agiven period of time, depending on the Backlightoption set in the Display menu.To specify the length of time the phone waits beforethe backlight turns off, set the Backlight menuoption (6-1); see page xx for further details.Service lightThe service light is in the top right-hand of thephone.
