58Text MessagesShort Message Service (SMS) allows you to sendand receive short text messages to and from otherGSM mobile phones. In addition, your phonesupports the Enhanced Messaging Service (EMS),which enables you to make messages includingsimple pictures, melodies, and animations. Youmust subscribe this service to your service provider.When the Message icon ( ) appears, you havereceived new text messages. If the memory is full,an error message is displayed and you cannotreceive any new messages. Use the Delete optionin each message box to delete obsolete ones.Inbox (Menu 1.1)This message box is used to store the messagesthat you have received.When you enter this menu, the list of messages inthe box displays with the senders’ phone numbersor names, if available in your Phonebook.1. Select a message from the list and press theView soft key to read the message contents.2. To scroll through the contents, press the orkey.3. To scroll to the previous or next messages, pressthe or key.Text Messages59While reading a message, you can choose thefollowing options by pressing the Options soft key.Delete: allows you to delete the message.Send: allows you to resend the message. You can also change theSMS center number, if required.Call Back: allows you to call the sender back.Cut Address: allows you to extract URL ore-mail addresses or a phone numbers from themessage text, so that you can save them in yourphone’s memory.Move: allows you to move the message to anothermemory location, from the SIM card memory to thephone memory or vice versa.Select Objects: allows you to save the mediaitems, such as sounds or images, from the messageinto your phone’s memory.
