Voice Kit 32Voice KitTips for using Voice Dial:• Voice Dial works best in quieter environments.• When saying a name, speak at a normal speed.To place a call using Voice Dial:1. Activate voice recognition by pressing and holding . (The phoneprompts you for a command.)2. Say a Name. (The phone plays the name through the earpiece anddisplays it on the screen.)• If you said a name listed in your Contacts that has more than onenumber associated with it, the phone displays the different locations(Home, Work, Mobile, Pager, and Others) and asks you which one todial. Say one of the location names and the phone will dial thenumber for the specified location.Note: If the name isn't valid, or if the phone still doesn't understand the name onthe second try, it will not place a call.Using Name LookupName Lookup lets you retrieve contact information for any person in your Contactsby saying the full name of the person.To retrieve information using Name Lookup:1. Activate voice recognition by pressing and holding . (The phone willprompt you for a command.)2. Say Contacts. (The phone will prompt you to say the name.)3. Press for Find.4. In Contacts type the name of the contact or press the navigation key upor down to highlight the name.5. Press to see the contact information.Enabling/Disabling Choice ListsYou can customize whether the Voice Dial feature displays the list of top voicerecognition choices or automatically dials the first number, without displaying achoice list.To enable or disable choice lists for Voice Dial:1.
