Normal under the menu isthe basic subtitle and Hard of hearing is the subtitle for ahearing-impaired person.SubtitleSwitches subtitles on or off.ModeSets the subtitle mode.Subtitle LanguageSet the subtitle language.If the programme you are watching does not supportthe Hard of hearing function, Normal automaticallyactivates even though Hard of hearing mode isselected.English is the default in cases where the selectedlanguage is unavailable in the broadcast.Digital TextIf the programme is broadcast with digital text, this featureis enabled.MHEG (Multimedia and Hypermedia Information CodingExperts Group)An International standard for data encoding systemsused in multimedia and hypermedia. This is at a higherlevel than the MPEG system which includes data-linkinghypermedia such as still images, character service,animation, graphic and video files as well as multimediadata. MHEG is user runtime interaction technologyand is being applied to various fields including VOD(Video-On-Demand), ITV (Interactive TV), EC (ElectronicCommerce), tele-education, tele-conferencing, digitallibraries and network games.Teletext LanguageYou can set the Teletext language by selecting the languagetype.English is the default in cases where the selectedlanguage is unavailable in the broadcast.PreferencePrimary Audio Language / Secondary AudioLanguage / Primary Subtitle Language / SecondarySubtitle Language / Primary Teletext Language /Secondary Teletext LanguageUsing this feature, users can select one of the languages.The language selected here is the default when the userselects a channelIf you change the language setting, the SubtitleLanguage, Audio Language, and the Teletext Languageof the Language menu are automatically changed to theselected language.The Subtitle Language, Audio Language, and the TeletextLanguage of the Language menu show a list of languagessupported by the current channel and the selection ishighlighted. If you change this language setting, thenew selection is only valid for the current channel.
