Samsung iDCS100 System Administration Guide7USING AUTHORISATION CODES1. Lift the handset and dial ¿ or press the AUTH soft key.2. Dial the 4-digit authorisation code.If you enter a correct code, you will hear a confirmation tone and then receive dial toneand you can make an outside call in the usual manner. The station then follows theclass of service for that au thorisation code. If you enter an incorrect code, the station returnserror tone. This code will print on SMDR reports if programmed to do so in MMC 725.For information on setting up authorisation codes, see the System Administrator Pro-gramming section of this guide.USING THE TIELINEOUTGOINGYour office can be connected to another system with a tieline. Use this line to makecalls to stations in the other system. If programming allows, you can access lines in theother system to make outside calls. Tieline calls can be put on hold, transferred andconferenced in the same manner as other outside calls.• Lift the handset or press the SPEAKER key.• Dial the tieline access code or press the tieline key (if programmed).• When you receive dial tone from the other system, you can dial extension numbersor access outside lines. You must know the extension numbers and the line accesscodes for the other system.• Finish the call by replacing the handset or pressing the ANS/RLS key.Note: Outgoing calls are controlled by the station's dialling class.INCOMINGStation users in the other system can access the tieline and make intercom calls to sta-tions in your system.Answer tieline calls ringing at your station as you would any other outside call. Theycan be put on hold, transferred and conferenced in the same manner as other outsidecalls.IN AND OUT ON TIELINEUsers accessing the tieline from the other system can get a line in your system andmake outgoing calls. These calls can be controlled by assigning a dialling class to thetieline. Your system installer must do this for you.
