English 396 RS-485/NETWORK SETThis section describes how to make the RS-485 terminalconnections/settings needed to connect to an externaldevice, and how to make the network connections neededto connect to a PC.You can make digital video recorder menu settings andmonitor images from a PC via a network. To do so, connectan LAN cable to the LAN terminal on the digital videorecorder’s rear panel.z To connect a PC directly(Do not use a hub.)z To connect to an intranet(Use a hub.)An IP address will be set automatically by the PC. Thefollowing section describes the method to be used when itis necessary to set an IP address using the digital videorecorder.1 Press the [MENU] button.The MENU indicator lights up and the
