-28-TROUBLESHOOTINGSometimes a simple operational error or a mistake in the wiring can appear to be a problem with the unit.Before having the unit serviced, refer to the troubleshooting chart below.SymptomThe compact disc cannot beinserted into the unit.The "CHECK CD" isdisplayed.No sound is emitted even whenthe compact disc is inserted.No power.No sound is coming out eitherfrom the front speaker or rearspeaker.The MP3 file cannot be played.Another disc has already beeninserted.The compact disc is very dirty orseriously damaged.The vehicle ignition is switched off.The power of this unit is turned off.The antenna connection is incomplete.Waves are weak.The power antenna cord connectionis incomplete. The antenna is notextended fully.Adjustment of the front and rearspeakers tilts toward either one side.The MP3 file has no extension.An extension is supplied to a fileother than the MP3 file.The compact disc is not recordedaccording to the ISO 9660 Level 1or Level 2.Condensation has occurred.The compact disc is upside down. Insert the disc with the label faceupward.Remove the inserted disc.Use the unit after leaving it idle for a while.Adjust the volume to the proper levelusing the volume control button.Press the POWER button.Connect the antenna.Supply an extension with therecording equipment.Use a compact disc that complieswith ISO 9660 Level 1 or Level 2.Check the connection of the powerantenna or antenna booster.Extend the antenna fully.Check it according to the volumecontrol procedures.
