54Maintenance and CleaningThe WARNING indicator shows the state of the function which protects the projector. Check thestate of the WARNING indicator and the POWER indicator to take proper maintenance.Warning IndicatorThe projector is shut down and the WARNINGindicator is blinking redWhen the temperature inside the projector reaches acertain level, the projector is automatically shut downto protect the inside of the projector. The POWERindicator is blinking while the projector is being cooleddown. When the projector has cooled down sufficiently(to its normal operating temperature), it can be turnedon again by pressing the POWER ON/STAND-BYbutton on the top control or on the remote control. Note:The WARNING indicator continues to blink evenafter the temperature inside the projector returnsto normal. When the projector is turned on again,the WARNING indicator stops blinking.Then check the matters below:– Did you provide appropriate space for the projectorto be ventilated? Check the installing condition tosee if ventilation slots are not blocked.– Has the projector been installed near the Air-Conditioning/Heating Duct or Vent? Move theinstallation of the projector away from the duct orvent.– Are the air filter clean? Clean the air filterperiodically. (p.55)The projector is shut down and the WARNINGindicator emits a red lightWhen the projector detects an abnormal condition, itis automatically shut down to protect the inside of theporjector and the WARNING indicator becomes red. Inthis case, disconnect the AC power cord and reconnectit, and then turn the projector on once again to verifyoperation. If the projector cannot be turned on and theWARNING indicator emits a red light, disconnect theAC power cord and contact the service station.CAUTIONDO NOT LEAVE THE PROJECTOR WITH THEAC POWER CORD CONNECTED UNDER THEABNORMAL CONDITION.
