54Follow these steps to replace the lamp assembly.1. Turn off the projector and allow the projector to cool thoroughly.2. Disconnect the AC cord from the projector.3. Remove 2 screws with a screwdriver and remove the lamp cover.4. Remove 2 screws with a screwdriver and pull out the lamp assembly bygrasping the handle.5. Replace the lamp assembly.6. Tighten 4 screws to secure the lamp cover to the lamp assembly.7. Connect the detachable AC cord to the projector.8. Reset the lamp replacement monitor timer.(See "LAMP AGE" section on page 52.)NOTE: Do not reset the LAMP REPLACEMENT MONITOR TIMER, exceptafter the lamp is replaced.l For continued safety, replace with a lamp assembly of the same type.l Allow the projector to cool for at least 45 minutes before you open the lamp cover. The inside of theprojector can become very hot.l Do not drop the lamp module or touch the glass bulb ! The glass can shatter and cause injury.LAMPREPLACEMENTINDICATORLAMPASSEMBLYHANDLELAMPCOVERAPPENDIXLAMP REPLACEMENTWHEN THE PROJECTION LAMP OF THIS PROJECTOR DRAWS TO AN END,THE LAMP REPLACEMENT INDICATOR LIGHTS YELLOW AND THEWARNING MESSAGE "LAMP REPLACEMENT" APPEARS AS THE RIGHTFIGURE. WHEN THE WARNING MESSAGE IS DISPLAYED, THE PROJECTIONLAMP SHOULD BE REPLACED.To terminate the warning message.Replace the Projection Lamp and reset the LAMP REPLACEMENT MONITORTIMER (See "LAMP AGE" section on page 52.), and the warning message isterminated.To erase the warning message in a moment.To erase the warning message for a moment, move the arrow to "YES" bypressing the POINT UP/DOWN BUTTON(s) and then press the SELECT (REARCLICK) BUTTON. This procedure is temporary measure, and the warningmassage appears again when the projector is turned on next time.LAMP REPLACEMENTORDER REPLACEMENT LAMPReplacement Lamp can be ordered through your dealer.
