Do not operate TB9100 equipment nearelectrical blasting caps or in an explosiveatmosphere. Operating the equipment in theseenvironments is a definite safety hazard.Proximity to RF TransmissionsDo not operate the transmitter when someone is standing within 3ft.(90cm) of the antenna. Do not operate the transmitter unless you havechecked that all RF connectors are secure.High TemperaturesTake care when handling a PMU or PA which has been operating recently.Under extreme operating conditions (+140°F [+60°C] ambient airtemperature) or high duty cycles, the external surfaces of the PMU and PAcan reach temperatures of up to +176°F (+80°C).2.2 Equipment SafetyInstallation and Servicing PersonnelThe TB9100 should be installed and serviced only by qualified personnel.Preventing Damage to the PAImportant Do not remove the load from the PA while it istransmitting.Load transients (switching or removing the load) or atmosphericdisturbances (for example rain static and electrical storms) can damage thePA output stage. See “Protecting the PA” on page 57 for recommendations.
