Dropping any metal items onto thesubrack interconnect board can cause shorts which maydamage the equipment.Note The DC output connector on the subrack interconnect board forreciter 2 is located in front of reciter 3. You will need to discon-nect reciter 2’s power cable from the subrack board before remov-ing reciter 3.Removal 1. If you have not already done so, carry out the instructions in“Preliminary Disassembly” on page 78, and remove the controlpanel, as described in “Replacing the Control Panel” on page 80.2. Disconnect any system control bus cables and DC power cables fromthe interconnect board.3. Remove the M3 nuts and spring washers b securing the right end ofthe board to the subrack.4. Remove the two retaining clamps c securing the left end of theboard.5. Remove the board.Refitting 1. If previously removed, replace the insulator d.2. Reconnect the DC feed wires to connector J17 e on theinterconnect board (red to + and black to -).3. Refit the board and secure with the M3 nuts and spring washers.Replace the two retaining clamps.4. Set the switches and links as described in “Configuring the SubrackInterconnect Board” on page 94.5. Reconnect the system control bus cables and reciter DC cables asshown in “Appendix B – Inter-Module Connections” on page 123.
