26Switching between radios (changing theforeground radio)In a dual-radio system, one radio is always at theforeground and one at the background. For moreinformation, see “About the foreground andbackground radio” on page 25.To change the foregroundradio, press the function keyprogrammed for switching theactive radio.The display will change toshow the new radio name,and the currently selectedchannel or group on that radio.The radio may automatically switch thebackground radio to the foreground in certaincircumstances, for example, when you receive acall with matching signalling, or you receive ashort data message.Monitoring more than one radio (dual receive)1 Press the function keyprogrammed for dual bodymode.While dual receive isactivated, two channels willappear on the defaultdisplay. The large textshows the foreground radio.
