If youdo remove the radio from the charger to answer a call,the call will not be disrupted.Removing the radio from the charger to make orreceive a call ends the charging process. Chargingsafely recommences when the radio is reinserted intothe charger.If a radio was turned on while being charged, thebattery indicator may not be accurate when the radiois initially removed from the charger. After a fewseconds, the battery indicator is updated to displaythe amount of charge available in the battery.Low battery warningNotice Do not allow a radio battery to fully dischargeevery time you use it, or you will shorten the servicelife of the battery.When the battery is low, your radio warns you in thefollowing ways:■ The battery icon on the radio display looksempty.■ The status LED on the radio slowly flashes red.■ A high-pitched beep sounds.You should recharge or replace the battery as soon aspossible. When the battery is completely empty, themessage Battery is flat appears on the display.The radio emits a long, low-pitched beep and thenstops working. Turn off the radio immediately.
