Remove the battery compartment cover on theback of the unit.2. Install 4 AA batteries with their ¥ and ^marks as shown in the battery compartment .3. Close the battery compartment cover.• Use the BATTERY TYPE item of the SYSTEMmenu to set the type of battery in order toaccurately show the amount of power remainingand allow the unit to accurately determinewhether enough power is available for properoperation. (By default, this is set to ALKAL foralkaline batteries.)Starting up the unitTo start up the unit from the stopped state, press andhold the button until “TASCAM DR-60DMKII”(start-up screen) is displayed on the display.The Home Screen appears when the unit starts up.Setting the built-in clockWhen the unit is started up for the first time (or whenthe built-in clock is reset after being left unusedwithout batteries), the DATE/TIME screen appearsbefore the start-up screen to allow the date and timeto be set.Shutting down (putting the unitin standby)Press and hold the button until “LINEAR PCMRECORDER” appears on the display.The power turns off after the unit completes itsshutdown (standby) process.
