0 TASCAM CD-RW900Titles can be given to the disc and the tracks on thedisc, using the TEXT EDIT option on the TEXT sub-menu.NOTEAfter a new title is selected and entered on thedisc, TOC will light up on the display. If the power isturned off, the TOC has not been recorded on thedisc and the titles will not have be added. You mustfinalize the disc to save the titles.Disc title input1. While stopped, select the TEXT EDIT option inthe TEXT sub-menu (refer to “Operation basic”on page 15).Text> Disc will appear.2. Press the MULTI JOG dial or the ENTER key onthe remote control.Now, you can input or edit the disc title followingthe guidelines above.3. Press the MENU key to enter.If you want to cancel, press the STOP key.Follow the guidelines below to input titles on thescreen. Operate them when in the text edit mode.It is more efficient to connect a keyboard for title in-put ( refer to “Title input by keyboard” on page 31).≠ Select the type of character for inputPress the DISPLAY key on the unit or the remotecontrol to select from two different types ofcharacters.Lower case letters/code: no indicationCapital letters/code: CAPS≠ Input procedureRotate the MULTI JOG dial or the SKIP keys onthe remote control to get the desired characters onthe display.Push the MULTI JOG dial or press the ENTER keyon the remote control to enter.≠ To move the cursor positionUse the ∆/˙ key and the ˚/¥ key on thefront panel, or the SEARCH key on the remotecontrol.≠ To delete charactersPlace the cursor on the character, then pressthe ERASE/DEL key on the front panel, or theERASE key on the remote control.≠ To insert charactersMove the cursor to the location where you wishto insert a character, and press the FINALIZE/INSkey on the front panel or the FINALIZE key onthe remote control.≠ To change a characterPlace the cursor on the character to be changed,then input the desired character.NOTE≠ As with the TEXT menu, if you attempt to ejectthe disc without writing the TOC to the disc, thedisplay will show Sure? Text!. If you want to ejectthe disc without performing a TOC write, pressthe OPEN/CLOSE key while Sure? Text! is shownon the display. The text that have been edited orentered will be abandoned.≠ The disc or track title on a fainlized disc cannot beedited. Unfinalizing (CD-RW only) is needed in thiscase to use the title input function.Title input operationTrack title input1. Rotate the MULTI JOG dial or repeatedly pressthe SKIP keys on the remote control to select thetrack number you wish to title.3. Push the MULTI JOG dial or press the ENTERkey on the remote control.Now, you can input or edit the track title follow-ing the guidelines above.4. Press the MENU key to enter.If you want to cancel, press the STOP key.7−Titling
