At thedefault setting, the starting and ending points ofthe last recording are automatically set as the inand out points, respectively. You can disable thisautomatic setting by opening the Transport tab ofthe SETTINGS screen (select the Settings item from theWindows menu), and remove the check mark next tothe Update Punch Points item. )You can also drag the punch in and out points inthe timeline ruler, they are the red triangles thatfill the timeline ruler. You may want to zoom into awaveform and set the markers manually if you’retrying to replace or spot-erase some recordedaudio.In addition, you can also capture the current timeas the punch in or punch out point by openingthe I/O Marker Properties screen (select from Windowsmenu) and selecting Punch.
