At no time shall aservice person allow any untrained personnel to serviceor repair this or any Taylor-Dunn® vehicle. For thepurposes of training, a qualified service person mayoversee the repairs or services being made to a vehicleby an individual in training. At no time shall an untrainedindividual be allowed to service or repair a vehicle withoutsupervision. This manual is not a training guide.Personnel performing service and repair shall haveknowledge of:• Basic standard automotive repair procedures• Basic DC and AC electrical theory• DC series wound motor speed control operation• Use of digital and analog multi-meters• Lead acid batteriesPersonnel performing maintenance shall have basicknowledge of standard automotive maintenanceprocedures and lead acid batteries.Of the Operator...A vehicle shall not be operated until the operator hassuccessfully completed an operator training courseprovided by the owner of the vehicle.The operator is responsible to be sure that the vehicleis operated only on authorized roads, highways, andinstallations.The operator is responsible to confirm that allpassengers are properly seated and properly usingthe available restraints.The operator is responsible for the safe operation ofthe vehicle, preoperational and operational checkson the vehicle, and the reporting of any problems toservice and repair personnel.Of the Passengers ...The passengers are responsible to remain fully seated,keeping their hands, arms, and legs inside the vehicleat all times. Each passenger shall be fully aware ofthe vehicle’s operation. All forms of recklessness areto be avoided.To maintain peak performance, always use originalTaylor-Dunn replacement parts intended for useon your vehicle. Taylor-Dunn components aredesigned and tested for use on specific Taylor-Dunnmodel vehicles. Only use the correct Taylor-Dunnreplacement components for your Taylor-Dunnvehicle.Do not modify your vehicle:Modifications to this vehicle may have an undesirableaffect on the operation of the vehicle, result inadditional frame stress, or stress other componentsresulting in premature failure or an unsafe conditionand may lead to an accident resulting in serious injuryor death.WARNINGThe only personnel authorized to repair, modify, oradjust any part of this or any Taylor-Dunn vehicle isa factory authorized service technician. Repairs madeby unauthorized personnel may result in damage tothe vehicles systems which could lead to an unsafecondition resulting in severe bodily injury and/orproperty damage.
