All connections must betorqued to specification during installation. Refer toSpecifications, Hydraulic Hose and Fitting TorqueSpecifications.Note: When installing a steer yoke, Loctite ® 243™threadlocker must be applied to the retainingfasteners securing the king pins. Torque to 44 ft-lbs / 60 Nm.1 Chock both sides of the wheels at the non-steer end of the machine.2 Center a lifting jack under the drive chassis atthe steer end of the machine.3 Loosen the wheel lug nuts. Do not removethem.4 Raise the machine approximately 2 inches /5 cm. Place blocks under the chassis forsupport.Crushing hazard. The chassiswill fall if not properly supported.5 Remove the wheel lug bolts. Remove the tireand wheel assembly.6 Remove the hose clamp retaining fastenersfrom the drive motor guard. Remove the hoseclamps.7 Remove the retaining fasteners from the drivemotor guard. Remove the drive motor guardfrom the yoke.8 Tag, disconnect and plug the hoses from thedrive motor. Cap the fittings on the drivemotor.Bodily injury hazard. Sprayinghydraulic oil can penetrate andburn skin. Loosen hydraulicconnections very slowly to allowthe oil pressure to dissipategradually. Do not allow oil tosquirt or spray.9 Support and secure the yoke and drive motorassembly to a lifting jack.10 Remove the cotter pin from the tie rod clevispin.Note: Always replace the cotter pin with a newone.11 Remove the retaining fastener from the steercylinder rod end pivot pin. Remove the pivotpin.12 Remove the retaining fastener from the loweryoke king pin.13 Place a rod through the king pin and twist toremove.14 Repeat steps 12 and 13 for the upper yokeking pin.15 Remove the yoke and drive motor assemblyfrom the machine.Crushing hazard. The yoke anddrive motor assembly maybecome unbalanced and fall ifnot properly supported andsecured to the lifting jack when itis removed from the machine.
