December 2023 Service and Repair ManualHydraulic PumpPart No. 1325652GT GS™-3390 • GS™-4390 • GS™-5390 79How to Prime the Driv e Pum pHow to Prime the Drive PumpComponent damage hazard.Be sure to open the hydraulictank valves before performingthis procedure.1 With the top hoses disconnected from thedrive pump, fill the pump with hydraulic fluid.2 Connect the hydraulic hoses to the drivepump.3 Start the engine from the ground controls andallow the engine to run at low idle.4 Check for hydraulic leaks.How to Adj ust the Pump Neutr alHow to Adjust the Pump NeutralModels with Eaton Pumps:1 Raise the drive wheels off the ground and setthe chassis on blocks.2 Locate the pump at the rear of the engine.Tag and disconnect the wire harness from theElectronic Displacement Controller (EDC)coils at the pump.3 Locate the pump neutral adjustment screw atthe top of the solenoid valve body at thepump.4 Tee a 0 to 1000 psi / 0 to 75 bar pressuregauge into the hydraulic line at the smallerfilter port at the rear of the pump.5 Start and run the engine at low idle.6 Loosen the lock nut of the pump neutraladjustment screw at the top of the EDC.7 Turn the adjustment screw in a clockwisedirection until the reading on the pressuregauge drops to its lowest point. Note theposition of the screw.8 Turn the adjustment screw in a counterclockwise direction until the reading on thepressure gauge reaches it highest point.Continue to turn the adjustment screw in acounter clockwise direction until the readingon the pressure gauge drops to its lowestpoint. Note the position of the screw.
