Drivers are solelyresponsible for making sure machines areproperly secured and the correct trailer isselected pursuant to US Department ofTransportation regulations, other localizedregulations, and their company policy. Genie customers needing to containerize anylift or Genie product should source a qualifiedfreight forwarder with expertise in preparing,loading and securing construction and liftingequipment for international shipment. Only qualified mobile elevating work platformoperators should move the machine on or offthe truck. The transport vehicle must be parked on a levelsurface. The transport vehicle must be secured toprevent rolling while the machine is beingloaded. Be sure the vehicle capacity, loading surfacesand chains or straps are sufficient to withstandthe machine weight. Genie lifts are very heavyrelative to their size. See the serial label for themachine weight. See the inspections sectionfor the serial label location. Be sure the turntable is secured with theturntable rotation lock before transporting. Besure to unlock the turntable for operation. Do not drive the machine on a slope thatexceeds the uphill, downhill or side slope rating.See Driving on a Slope in the OperatingInstructions section. If the slope of the transport vehicle bedexceeds the uphill or downhill maximum sloperating, the machine must be loaded andunloaded using a winch as described in thebrake release operation. See the Specificationssection for the slope ratings.Free-wheel Configuration forWinchingChock the wheels to prevent the machine fromrolling.4WD models: Release thewheel brakes by turningover all four drive hubdisconnect caps.Be sure the winch line is properly secured to thedrive chassis tie points and the path is clear of allobstructions.Reverse the procedures described to re-engage thebrakes.Note: Towing the Genie Z-60 DC or the Z-60 FE isnot recommended. If the machine must be towed,do not exceed 2 mph / 3.2 km/h.
