Commissioning vacon • 7577. COMMISSIONINGBefore commissioning, note the following directions and warnings:Internal components and circuit boards of Vacon 100 (except for the galvanicallyisolated I/O terminals) are live when it is connected to mains potential. Cominginto contact with this voltage is extremely dangerous and may cause death orsevere injury. The motor terminals U, V, W and the brake resistor terminals (R+/R- (MR4-MR6)or DC+/R+ and R- (MR7 and bigger)) are live when Vacon 100 is connected tomains, even if the motor is not running. The control I/O-terminals are isolated from the mains potential. However, therelay outputs and other I/O-terminals may have a dangerous control voltagepresent even when Vacon 100 is disconnected from mains.Do not make any connections to or from the AC drive when it is connected to themains. After disconnecting the AC drive from the mains, wait 5 minutes before doing anywork on the connections of Vacon100. Do not open the cover before this time hasexpired. After expiration of this time, use a measuring equipment to absolutelyensure that no voltage is present. Always ensure abscence of voltage beforeelectrical work! Before connecting the AC drive to mains make sure that the front and cable co-vers of Vacon 100 are closed.NOTE! Dynamic braking and brake resistor is not supported in Vacon 100 FLOW, but brakeresistor terminals might still be live and carry a hazardous voltage.13006.emf13006.emf13006.emf13006.emf13006.emf9000.emfPhone: 800.894.0412 - Fax: 888.723.4773 - Web: www.clrwtr.com - Email: info@clrwtr.com
