1 General pointsVEN 5/5 classic; VEN 5/5 exclusiv101.4 Manufacturer’s guaranteeVaillant delivers the appliance with this end-userguarantee. This is in addition to, and does not affect,your statutory rights.The guarantee is valid for one year. During this period,any faults on the appliance found to have been causedby faulty materials or workmanship will be repaired –free of charge – by our Customer Service Department.We shall assume no guarantee liability for faults thatoccur for any other reason (e.g. incorrect installation orfailure to operate the appliance as intended).The validity of the manufacturer’s guarantee depends onthe appliance being installed by a suitably-qualifiedinstaller. The guarantee shall be voided immediately inthe event of repair or servicing work being carried outon the appliance other than by our Customer ServiceDepartment or an authorised installer. Themanufacturer’s guarantee will likewise be rendered voidif any parts other than those approved by Vaillant arefitted.The manufacturer’s guarantee does not cover items(such as third-party damage liability) that fall outsidethe undertaking to carry out repairs free of charge.1.5 EC approval certificateThe EC approval certificate supplies documentaryevidence that these appliances comply with the basicspecifications (listed in Table A.1) with respect to thedirective governing low-voltage appliances (EuropeanCouncil Directive 73/23/ EEC) and the directivegoverning electromagnetic compatibility (EuropeanCouncil Directive 89/336/EEC), and that their design hasbeen duly tested and approved.
