15Installation instructions geoTHERM VWS 0020046310_014.6 Requirements of the heating circuitThe heat pump is only suitable for connection to aclosed central heating installation. To ensure trouble-free operation, the central heating installation musthave been installed by authorised technical personnel incompliance with the applicable regulations.A heat pump is suited to low temperature heating sys-tems. The system must therefore be designed for lowflow temperatures (ideally around 30 to 35 °C). Further-more, it must be ensured that power company outagesare bridged over.EN 12828 requires the following the heating system in-stallation:– a filling valve, in order to fill the heating system withwater or be able to drain the water,– a diaphragm expansion vessel in the return line of theheating circuit,– an overpressure safety valve (opening pressure 3 bar)with pressure gauge (safety group) in the flow line ofthe heating circuit, immediately after the appliance,– an air/dirt separator in the return line of the heatingcircuit. To avoid energy losses and protect against freezing, thermal insulation must be installed on all supply lines. The lines must be dirt free - so flush these through tho-roughly before filling, if necessary.a Caution!Risk of damage!Do not add any antifreeze or corrosionprotection agents to the heating water,as seals and other components can bedamaged as a result and this can lead towater leaks. In hydraulic installations that are predominantly equip-ped with thermostatically or electrically controlled val-ves, it is necessary to ensure a constant, adequate flowthrough the heat pump. Regardless of the choice of hea-ting system, the nominal flow rate of heating watermust be ensured. This is guaranteed by using a professi-onally installed buffer cylinder.4.7 Scope of delivery3216547812 913141011Fig. 4.4 Checking the supplied materialFor key, see Table 4.2.The heat pump is delivered on a pallet in two packingunits.• Check the heat pump and the separately packagedoperating console for any transport damage.Assembly and installation 4
