Use a straight b ack andforth washing m otion to av oid swirledmicro-scratches.To minim ise the d amage from road salt,the underside of the vehic le should berinsed with clea n water as soon as possibleafter travelling on treated roads.Thoroughly rinse off and leather-off thevehicle. Rinse leather frequently . Useseparate leathers for paint and w indowsurfaces: remnants of wax on the wind ow swill impair vision.Soft top carePa rticular ca re should be ta ken whenwashing the fabric soft top. Carefullyvacuum the soft top before washing toremove excess dust and dirt particles.Wash in sha de w ith a sp onge (a cham oiswill leav e lint, while a brush may abradethe threads) and use a Va ux hall CarShampoo and lukewarm water solution.Wash the entire top uniformly to av oidrings or spots. Rinse with plenty of cleanwater.Remove surfac e wa ter with a sponge andallow to a ir dry. Be sure to allow the soft topto dry comp letely before stowing a sprolonged stow age of a wet or damp roofwill promote rotting of the fab ric.z Remov e bird droppings from the roofimmediately.z Do not use aggressive cleaning agentsor stain removers.z Do not direct wa ter jets on to the edgesof the roof.z Do not use sharp-edged objects toremove snow and ice from the roof.Whilst the soft top is weatherproof, itcannot be guaranteed to be fullywaterproof if the vehic le is washed in anautomatic c ar wash. It is thereforerecommended that the vehicle is hand -washed and that autom atic car washes areav oided.Exterior st or ageDue to the soft top design beingweatherproof and not water tight in allconditions, extended periods of rainfa llma y result in som e w ater collection in thepassenger compartment.
