If, however, there is no BootPserver available at a power-on reset, the PFC’s network remains inactive. To operate the controller with the IP configuration stored in the EEPROM, theBootP protocol must be deactivated.NoteIf the BootP protocol is disabled after the IP address assignment, the storedIP address is retained even after power is removed from your controller.1. Disabling of the BootP protocol is done via the built-in web pages stored inthe controller. Open a web browser on your PC (e.g., Microsoft InternetExplorer).2. Now enter the controller’s I/P address in the address box of the browser andpress the Enter key.3. One of the controller’s built-in web pages is displayed. The opening pagedisplays information about your fieldbus controller. Click the Porthyperlink on the left navigation bar.4. A dialog window will open and ask for a password. This serves as accessprotection, and includes the three different user groups: admin, guest anduser.5. To logon as the administrator, enter the user name admin and the passwordwago.NoteIf the controller does not display the opening HTML page, make sure yourweb browser is setup to bypass the proxy server for local addresses.
