PPG Wave 2.VOperation Manual 23 WaldorfTUNING Menu (TUNE)The Tuning menu lets you access all parameters that concern the tuning and pitch mo-dulation of the plug-in.To open the Tuning menu, press the TUNE button on the Plug-In panel. The buttonlights up in red. Pressing it again lets you switch back to the analog user interface. The next sections describe the individual functions in detail.DETUNE 0 CENTS...2 OCTYou can use this parameter to detune the sub oscillator compared to the main oscillatorand get flanging or chorus-type effects, or musically useful intervals. These settings arepossible: The setting 0 CENTS does not create a detuning effect, which can cause the signal tobe out of phase. The setting 3 CENTS detunes the sub oscillator by 3 cent. The setting 6 CENTS detunes the sub oscillator by 6 cent. The setting 9 CENTS detunes the sub oscillator by 9 cent. The setting 12 CENTS detunes the sub oscillator by 12 cent. The setting 7SEMI detunes the sub oscillator by 7 7 semitones (a Fifth) upwards. The setting 1 OCT detunes the sub oscillator by one octave upwards. The setting 2 OCT detunes the sub oscillator by two octaves upwards.MOD>OSC ON, OFFThis parameter can be used to select the LFO as a modulation source for the pitch ofthe main oscillator. This creates a Vibrato effect. Please keep in mind that no modulati-on will take place, if the Modulation wheel is all the way down. The setting of the Mo-dulation wheel is stored with each Program, same as on the original PPG Wave. Makesure that TOUCH>MOD in the MODULATION menu is set to OFF, otherwise the LFOonly modulates one signal, if Aftertouch is generated at the same time.MOD>SUB ON, OFFThis parameter is identical with MOD>OSC, except that in this case the sub oscillator ispitch modulated.ENV3>OSC ON, OFFYou can use this parameter to select the AD-Envelope 3 as a modulation source for thepitch of the main oscillator. You can use this to create a rising pitch in the Attack pha-
