Maintenance Instructions REPLACING/REPAIRING596. Align the slot in the new sprocket with thesquare key and slide the sprocket onto the driveshaft. Make sure the key is in place betweenthe drive shaft and sprocket.Remove and Replace SprocketAlign Sprockets7. Position the sprocket on the drive shaft so it isaligned with the chain drive shaft sprocket.8. When the sprockets are aligned properly, tight-en the set screw in the drive shaft sprocket.9. Install chain and adjust the chain tension. Referto ADJUSTMENTS of Rotary Broom DriveChain Tension in this section.10. With the chain installed, recheck the sprocketalignment.11. Lubricate the drive chain. Refer to LUBRICA-TION of Rotary Broom Drive Chain in this sec-tion.Check Sprocket Alignment with Chain Installed12. Reinstall the chain guard by reversing the re-moval procedures.Two-Stage Snowblower Cutting EdgeNOTE: The cutting edge of the snowblower is re-versible and needs to be replaced only when boththe top and bottom edges have worn.Replace the snowblower cutting edge as follows:1. Remove the six (6) 5/16-NC hex nuts and5/16 in. lock washers from the rear of the snow-blower housing, behind the cutting edge. Re-move the six (6) 5/16-NC x 1 in. carriage boltsfrom the front of the cutting edge.2. If only one edge of the blade is dulled ornicked, rotate the blade 180 degrees. (Thesharp edge should now be at the bottom.) Re-install the cutting edge onto the snowblowerhousing by reversing the removal procedure.3.
