Xerox 6204 Wide Format Solution Participant Guide156 Setting Up the Original Size Series & the Media TypeThe controller needs to know both the size of the original beingscanned and the type, size, and thickness of the roll media in themedia drawer(s). It uses this information to perform a number ofimportant tasks, among them reduction and enlargement, matchingmedia and document sizes, and selecting the best fusingtemperature and Xerographics settings.If you always scan the same size originals or run the same size,type, and thickness roll media, it is not necessary to change theOriginal Size Series or the Media Settings after they’re set up.If you copy various size series originals, the Original Size Seriesmust be set up every time you scan an original of a different series.If you use a variety of media, the Media Settings must be changedevery time a different roll is loaded.
