422.2 Loading PapeAlign the paper guides to the size of the paperto be loaded ( ).Pull out the tray extension ( ) when printingon large paper such as A3-size paper.When printing on larger papersizes, such as A3, pull out thetray extension. Otherwise, papermay fall out of the tray, or maynot be fed properly.When using special paper such astransparencies, labels and envelopes, fan thestack of paper to allow air to enter between thesheets.Fanning the sheets helps toprevent several sheets feedingtogether, and prevents paperjams.• You can load plain paperwithout fanning it first.• Load coated or glossy paperone sheet at a time. If you loadmore than one sheet, moisturebetween the paper may cuasethem to be fed into the printertogether, causing paper jams.• If the paper is poorly cut andthere are scraps around theedges, remove these beforeloading the paper on the tray.Align the four corners of the paper stock, andload the paper with the side to be printed face-up onto the manual tray.
